reunion?
yes, come july 15th, at an as of yet to be announced venue, target nevada will be playing one final show. for those that never even knew target nevada had disbanded well, neither had we, really. so, what's gone on with everyone since the disbanding? the most common and known thing is that mr. jason boyer has been prancing about in poison the well. he is currently recording the latest record off in umea, sweden, and shall be back in the US sooner than not. tell him about your tumour when you see him. senorita alan landsman migrated north to the great white state of maryland, we believe. he will in fact return for the reunion show. throw some dog shit at him when you see him. sir alex leon was involved with the end of all hell breaks loose, currently fronting dead weight, and about to be revealed as the new guitarist for glasseater. give him a kiss and give it with love when you see him. el gran rene leon has also retreated to other parts of the globe but, the contracts haven't cleared yet on that one. oh, and he'll be backing zach wyld in his new hardcore band. lick him somewhere dirty when you see him. amado fucking ventura has been taking up the ultimate sport: hunting humans!!! oh, and i think he's working on some secret solo record with all sorts of noises and shit that no one that likes target nevada will like,... or at least he hopes. tell him how much atreyu rock when you see him. fin. | | Friday, October 15th, 2004 | | 2:57 pm |
HOLY SHIT! UPDATES!!!!
- greetings from the Nevada campsite....got some updates for you so here goes. - new line up changes have occured. Adrian and Rene are back as for Amado and Nahuel have departed. No biggie we are all on good terms, things just werent correct i guess? We wish them the best of luck. - Full length titled "no, we dont wanna play your shitty fest" comes out in NOV. We'll be receiving the shipment of them in about a week or so. We are really excited to get this underway and to begin writing the new material that we've been recently working on. - As you may or may not know Jason Boyer is definetly not in the band anymore. He went on to play for our good friends in Poison the well so we wish him the best of luck. So i guess that means in the marketing dept we can say Ex members of Poison the well and Poison the Well can say Ex members of Target Nevada? Yeah anyways moving on....Jason rules we'll miss him. Support Poison the well and buy their next record when it comes out the material is awesome. - We had a CD release show booked Nov 20th at the Alley with Adore Miridia and our wonderful fuck buddies Into The Moat with others as well but due to the powers that be, The Alley was shut down (again). We are quickly moving it somewhere and we'll let you know as soon as possible. Looks at though it'll be moved to Solid Sound. - It took a while to get things back under control but things seem to be on the up and up now. So until next time.... turn your mother out
courtesy of the miami new times,... "Target Nevada Do you worship the Devil? Are you looking for the appropriate soundtrack to accompany your inner desire to maim someone? Then why not consider the original Target Nevada? In an unfriendly city filled with synthesizers, booty music, and straight-edge kids scared of beer-chugging bands, Target Nevada carved out a decent existence by playing shows up and down the state, making a name for itself with off-the-wall antics by screamologist Alan Landsman, who is known for bleeding onstage and choking people with microphone cords. But Miami’s bloodthirsty tattooed freaks, who once brought us hardcore heavy metal songs such as “1600” and “Reach Around and Happy Endings,” is coming to an end ... sort of. The group plays its final show with original drummer Rene Leon this Saturday, and another show the following week with a new drummer to be named later. We were a little afraid to ask the reason for the scary-looking Leon’s departure from the band he helped form. “Growing up and getting a job,” he answered. — Kris Conesa Target Nevada, Foolproof, Caught Inside, All Hell Breaks Loose, Stop This Fall, and Underpaid perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 2, at the Alley, 1748 SW 36th St. Tickets cost $7. Call 305-638-4404." fin. | | Monday, June 21st, 2004 | | 3:31 pm |

it's about fucking time
in target nevada news... - the record will be out. eventually. when? we don't particularly know as of right now but, we're sure/hoping it'll be soon. - new shirts are on the way. horror movies and airports. such a great combination. 3 cheers for consumerism!!! - next show up would be the wedding (audra and marciel, of course) show on july 2nd. expect appearances by underpaid, stop this fall, all hell breaks loose, and the reunions of fool proof and caught inside. no, don't hold your breath for a milkshed (even though 3 out of 4 members shall be in attendance. hehe) reunion. yes, it's at the alley. - this will also be rene's last show with us. the older leon of the band is taking off in pursuit of his career. we wish him the best, of course. come out and give the boy a proper send-off on the 2nd. lapdances are accepted. - no, this doesn't mean we're through. you'll see. fin. this post was made by your friendly neighbourhood amado. | | Thursday, April 22nd, 2004 | | 11:34 am |
We are gearing up for the record release. We keep getting our name put on flyers to play shows and what not. It's getting a little irritating. So for those who check this regularly. Please note. If the show isnt posted on here by any of us in the band. WE ARE NOT PLAYING. Eventually we will be collecting the teeth of the people that like to do such an act by making us look like assholes for not showing up at shows we arent even involved in. Anyways that is all. Take care. - Alex | | Tuesday, April 13th, 2004 | | 9:26 am |
So the record is finished.
- we finished it this morning. we left the studio at 8am after a long evening of mixing, mastering, sequencing, and whatever else needs to be done. We are very happy with it. We added a bunch of extra hidden bonus songs throughout the tracks. So when you pick it up we urge you to actually listen to it. - amado is an awesome producer and a great worker in this band. He deserves much credit for alot of the set up of this record. without his help and his two cents we couldnt have made this record as great as we feel it is. It's definetly a group effort. - marciel our old bassist has a livejournal. Add him. He's the greatest man alive and a good kisser. - kill bill Vol.1 comes out on DVD today. Go and get it. - that is all be well and listen to Nation of Ulysses <3 Alex | | Monday, April 12th, 2004 | | 12:25 pm |
Review of the single.
Short but powerful, this Target Nevada CD-single. In seven and a half minutes this five piece from Miami, Florida show what they’re good at: playing intense metalcore. The lyrics of both songs, “Dawson’s Creek” and “Roman Suits And Free HBO”, are a bit weird and you could also classify their music in the same way. Throw in the dirty voice of Alan Landsman and you see where the comparisons to Zao, Remembering Never and Every Time I Die come from. This is a nice release, but it’s a little short. Luckily Target Nevada is already working on a full length. | | Sunday, April 11th, 2004 | | 7:16 am |
Fuck being modest....
We're the best band ever. The full length is evidence to prove it. Wait till you hear it fuckers. We love it. We know you will. "The Amato" did an awesome job on this recording. | | Tuesday, April 6th, 2004 | | 5:29 pm |
so our show with Six Feet under and bury your dead was.....strange. I guess kids dont like the fact that we've moved on from MOSH. I dont know there is only so much you can do with that. I guess if we have the ability to move on to greater things why not? - so i guess maybe the full length might finally be mixed this weekend? I dont know. I'm hoping so. I've given up hope on it considering we have finished it over a month and half or so ago. Let's just hope for the best. Mark my words when the new music is finished we will have at least a track or so up for you to listen and tell us there isnt mosh parts in it and that we "sold out" thank you very much and good night. You have been at the most Satisfactory. Current Music: Text | | Friday, March 26th, 2004 | | 12:23 pm |

- so now that all hell has started in the studio all we hav eleft is mixing and mastering. Which we will do soon. We are so proud of this record. Everyone in the band did an amazing job. This recording process was such an amazing learning experience for us all. With learning in mind Target Nevada asks that the people who are old enough to do so encourage you to Vote. Let's try and get this facist little old man named George Bush out of office. | | Wednesday, February 18th, 2004 | | 10:17 pm |

What sweet fucking timing....
I was in the middle of finishing doubles for a new song and THE FUCKING AMP BLEW! So it looks like ill finish the last 2 tracks tomorrow. Gives me more time. Studio is running smoothly except for the minor set back. - Alex | | Saturday, February 7th, 2004 | | 3:03 am |
Recording update....
Well Jason finally finished everything and we got a guitar sound and started one song before gettng tired and going home. So now tomorrow night is all me baby. Then Amado, then Alan. Can you feel the excitement bitches? | | Thursday, February 5th, 2004 | | 9:10 pm |
Jason has finished 5 songs last night, he will begin the next 5 tonight. And then I should be starting mine immediately afterwards. Things are running much more smoothly then we expected and we are finishing things a little quicker than expected. We are still working on the layout though. EMS is calling us for updates and we are avoiding his calls cause we dont wanna tell him we are wasting his recording money on beer and really big boobed private dancers. Plus Taco bell on the side. (not to be taken literally) Anyways you little fuck pops all hell has practice tonight i must go attend to that. I'll write back with more grueling updates from the studio soon. Suck me. <3 Alex |
